The owner of the Segway company dies on his Segway

New find. I can look at stats one how many people look at pages, what posts and where they come from. Who knew. I wonder who the Irish viewer was.

Once upon a Dream

To celebrate London Design Festival, Veuve Clicquot will bring the Once Upon A Dream sleep pod, designed by award-winning Mathieu Lehanneur to the Andaz Hotel. The dream capsule will be host to London tastemakers as they read excerpts of their favourite books aloud to audiences.
French designer Mathieu Lehanneur, who collaborated with Cartier, Issey Miyake, and Yohji Yamamoto to design the Once Upon A Dream sleep unit. It is a tribute to the insomnia of Madame Clicquot, the first woman to run a Champagne house, as well as a reference to the Champagne bottles themselves that are said to sleep in the cellars as they age. Originating in Milan, the Once Upon A Dream bed will take up residence upon the reopening of the Hôtel du Marc, where Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin welcomes guests from around the world each year.

Venice Architecture Biennale 2010: Berlin architect J. Mayer H. has won the inaugural Audi Urban Future Awardwith his concept for a city where digital information is continually exchanged between people, their environment and their cars.
A.WAY by J. Mayer H.
Called A.WAY, the project predicts that urban spaces, buildings, people and vehicles will all develop clouds of data and personalised information around them.
A.WAY by J. Mayer H.
J. Mayer H. envisages that as citizens move around this digitally-augmented urban environment their personal data and preferences would “splash” onto fields of information from the world around them, while the car would become a tool for viewing and navigating this data.

The Audi Urban Future Award asked six firms, curated byStylepark, to explore possibilities for urban mobility in 2030.

love it

He attacked everything in life with a mix of extraordinary genius and naive incompetence, and it was often difficult to tell which was which.
